If you plan to come to the next Sing for Life event, look over the lyrics of some of these songs and be ready to sing them. We don't have time to sing them all but we get through a lot of them. If you can think of any other hymns or songs that would be effective in reaching the people going into the abortion mill, let us know and we'll try to include them.If you need to brush up on the music there are some marvelous websites that feature melody lines and lyrics. One of the better ones is The Cyber Hymnal™.
If you play an instrument, particularly piano or guitar, we can use your help.
Finally, if you're part of a choir and members of your group would like to do a special presentation, let us know.
2. Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing,
Were not the right man on our side,
The man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He:
Lord Sabaoth His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
3. And tho this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph thru us.
The prince of darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo, his doom is sure:
One little word shall fell him.
4. That word above all earthly pow'rs,
No thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Thru him who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also:
The body they may kill;
God's truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
2. Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day,
Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see,
O Thou who changest not, abide with me!
3. I need Thy presence ev'ry passing hour;
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's pow'r?
Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?
Thru cloud and sunshine, O abide with me!
2. Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,
Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all;
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all!
3. Let ev'ry kindred, ev'ry tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all;
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all!
4. O that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all;
We'll join the everlasting song,
And crown Him Lord of all!
2. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear.
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed.
3. Thru many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come.
'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
4. When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
Than when we first begun.
Praise God, praise God, praise God...

And the burden of my heart rolled away

Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit in me.

His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
